an injured leg and bad results.
what a perfect combination.

my wound hurts like hell
and my results are so bad that its gonna take a couple of hours before i stop crying

i hardly ever need people to comfort me to make me feel better
but now, i need it really badly.

we have changed but we're still the same ;

Comments:
A man was sleeping at night, in his cabin when suddenly his room was filled with a bright light, and God appeared.

The Lord told the man that He had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin.

The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might. And so, this was what the man did, day after day.

For many years, he toiled from sun rise to sun down, his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all his might. Each night, the man returned to his cabin, sore and worn out, feeling that he's just wasted yet another day.

Since the man was showing discouragement, the adversary (Satan) decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the weary mind:
"You have been pushing at that rock for a long time, yet it hasn't moved."

He gave the man the impression that the task was impossible and that the man was a total failure. These thoughts greatly discouraged and disheartened the man.

The Devil continued, "Why push yourself so hard over this? Just put in your minimum, and that would be good enough. All is required is your time, not your effort."

That was indeed what the toil-worn man had planned to do, but decided to take the matter to the Lord.

"Lord," he said, "I have laboured long and hard in Your service, putting in all my strength to do what You have asked of me. Yet, after all this time, I have not even moved that great rock by even a millimeter. What is wrong, Lord? Why am I failing?"

The Lord replied compassionately, "My friend, when I asked you to serve Me, and you accepted, I told you that your task was simply to push against the rock with all your strength. This, you have faithfully done. However, not once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task is simply just to push. And now, you've come to Me, your strength spent, thinking that you have failed. But think, is this really so? Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and well-muscled. Your back is ridged and sinewy. Your legs have become massive and hard. Through opposition you have grown much, and your abilities far surpass what you used to have. True, you have not moved that rock one bit. But your calling was to be obedient and to push. To excercise your faith and trust in My great wisdom. That, you have done. Now I, my friend, will move that rock."

Many a time, when we hear a word from God, we tend to use our own intellect and understanding to try and decipher what God wants from us. When all He really wants is so much simpler; absolute trust and obedience unto Him. By all means, excercise that faith which is able to move mountains, but know that in the end, it is still God who moves the mountain.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)
